Other relatives: Unknown Background: Jonah was born somewhere in New York City to a prostitute and drug addicted mother. He was taken away by the Child Protective Services when he was 3 years old due to neglect and malnutrition. On his 14th birthday he was informed that his mother passed away but he didn't dare find out who she was. He never knew his father. Jonah then bounced from one foster home to another. During those times, Jonah spent some years with family that abused and neglected him to the ones that actually cared for him. But because Jonah didn't know how to handle people who actually cared, Jonah often misbehaved resulting to him being removed from the good homes he was placed in. The last family that took Jonah in was exceptionally harsh on him. The father of the household often beat him up for any reason the older man could find (e.g. garbage not taken out, spilled food on the floor, etc.) One night Jonah decided he'd had enough of the abuse and decided to fight back. The man ended up in the hospital with a couple broken ribs and a badly beat up face. Since he was a minor, Jonah was placed in a juvenile facility where he spent more than a year. Jonah then emancipated himself from the foster care system at the legal age of 18 after his released. Being on his own, Jonah learned to hustle the streets and work odd jobs. He lived most of his life in Queens, New York. He became heavily involved in gangs, finding the sense of family and comradery in them. The small group he ended up being a part of dealt with pushing drugs and robbery; before Jonah realized what was happening, he was already deeply involved and there was no choice but to stick around. Jonah being sneaky himself had the mistake of crossing his gang mates by stealing from them. When the members found out that Jonah stole from them, they beat him up until he was unconscious. Instead of killing Jonah, the gang decided they would make some money off of him. Bound and blindfolded, Jonah was then taken to Asher City and sold to slavery. Jonah woke up to a strange place, his fate unknown to him until a man named Jack Grimms informed him of their location and what had came of him. Determined to take the run for it when given an opportunity, Jonah vowed he wouldn't be a slave for long. Jonah spent 4 months in the slave house before he was bought by a rich business man in the city and was given to the man’s niece as a companion. Due to some emotional conflicts between him and his Mistress, Jonah found it hard to be bound with his owner that he became difficult. He snuck out of the house every night especially when his Mistress was not around and did what he please. One night after another argument with his Mistress, Jonah left the house and stumbled upon an underground fight ran by Derek Eames which he ended up being a part of. Eventually, Jonah released himself from slavery by buying off his freedom from his Mistress using the money he earned from his fights. With twists of events, Jonah started dating his former Mistress, shortly after he gained back his freedom. But due to trust issues on Jonah’s part, the relationship with Isolde became rocky and unsteady. They eventually parted ways. Other information: Jonah was as an underground fighther for Derek Eames. He quit after making enough money to pay off her Mistress for his freedom. He then worked as a bouncer for Derek's brother Matthew, in one of the business man's clubs in Asher called Lavo. Jonah is currently in jail for third degree assault. Months before his confession and eventually arrest, Jonah was involved in a big fight outside of a bar he visited one night. During the fight Jonah accidentally hit a young man named Nicholas Turner in the head with a metal pipe. The young man fell into a short coma and came out of it without any memory of the night he was assaulted. Jonah kept his secret quiet and feared that he had killed a man. Not being able to go through it himself, he shared the secret with Isolde. Derek Eames who ran the underground fights in Asher learned of Jonah's secret. After informing Jonah that the man Jonah assaulted was actually alive, Derek went on to blackmailed him into working for the man (dealing and spying.) Jonah was more than relieved to learn that the young man was alive and it made him re-think of his choices in life. Despite some good reasons not to turn himself in, Jonah confessed of his crime and now have been in jail for 4 months. Personality: Jonah is a survivor and he does this very well by hiding his feelings well even from the people that care about him. Relationships are very hard for him to handle because he’d grown to distrusts people. He easily adapts to people around him and this could be because he's always on guard. Jonah is very private and doesn't speak of his problems. Once his trust is earned (and it doesn't come easy,) Jonah can be very loyal. Despite his massive trust issues, Jonah doesn't mind helping those in need. Jonah is also hot-tempered. He doesn't talk about his feelings and often deals with things on his own or with his fist (but he has been working on controlling his anger.) He can be very spiteful and mischievous. Jonah may appear as selfish to others, thinking often of himself. This rooted from the environment he was in since he was little. He learned to take care of himself because he realized at a very early age that he didn't have anybody but himself. Despite this mentality, Jonah wants to belong (even though he tends to runaway when things get too serious.) Jonah is a very jealous person and wants undivided attention although he will never admit to it. *Jonah was released from jail on February 14th after charges against him for third degree assault were dropped. The reason behind this is still unknown to him. Jonah is on probation. He worked at Miggy's Auto Shop and at the warehouse (with the help of his new friend Dante) operating forklifts. But this progress did not last; Jonah was picked up by the slave house guards a little over a week after his release from jail. He was taken back to the slave house and was confronted by Rocket, head of the house, for spreading words of him buying his freedom back from his Master. He was then informed that despite all he did to buy back his freedom, it was considered invalid as his true Master still held his contract. Jonah was then brought back to his old Master, Leone. But since the Master did not like him in the first place and had no use for him, Jonah was again sent back to slave house where he awaited to be purchased. His friend Laney Rosario who was leaving for London on his second day in the House of Saints purchased his contract from the house, handing it to him in exchanged with the promise that he will pay her off. Jonah is now working for Louise Petit as her bodyguard/driver. Jonah is roomamates with Georgie, Louise's former slave. MORE ON JONAH RIGHT HERE.
